Valentine's chocolate
This is my Valentine’s chocolate this year. Delicious chocolate wafer cookies. Everybody knows that in Japan, on Valentine's Day it’s girls and women who give chocolates, brownies, cake and similar sweets to boys and men. It’s called “giri choco,” or “duty chocolate.” Although, despite the word “duty,” women are certainly under no obligation whatsoever to give chocolates to anyone. It's just a bit of fun.
One month later, March 14th, is White Day in Japan. That’s when boys/men who received chocolates and sweets on February 14th are supposed to reciprocate - reciprocate with white chocolate.
I like the Korean day called Black Day, on April 14th. That’s when people, male and female, who received absolutely no sweets on either February 14th or March 14th wear black as a sign of revolt.
I wear black all the time. 99.9% of my wardrobe is black - outerwear, underwear, sleepwear - everything.
