Influenza shot
On Friday, October 26, 2018 I got my annual influenza shot. I’ve been getting annual flu shots for the last twenty years or so. Mostly it’s because I want to minimize the risk of illness infringing on my ability to work. With my National Health card it cost ¥3,300, or about $38 CAD. I was in Nakano for another reason - an eye doctor appointment. Then on my way to the station to go to work I had to pass by my regular doctor's clinic. So acting on an impulse, since I had the money in my pocket and plenty of time I thought I'd pop in to see if flu shots were available. (Last year they were all out of doses when I visited, and I had to return at a later date.) They were, so I got it.
