Umbrella Armageddon
Wednesday, April 3, 2013. It had been raining non-stop for about thirty hours, and there was strong wind, as well. Japan is a very wet country. Few natural resources except for rain, especially during the annual summer time Rainy Season. Broken umbrellas abandoned on the streets are a common sight. The wind liteally rips them to shreads. First it turns them inside out, then it tears them to pieces. I hate when that happens.
Tokyo Poppies
Every spring these flowers pop up along city streets. They are weeds, not cultivated flowers. They look like poppies to me.
