Based on the book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game by Michael Lewis, this is the true story of American NFL football player Michael Oher, who was adopted by a white family in Memphis, Tennessee and then tutored and trained up to become of professional football player. The story is a classic rags-to-riches tale and a most beautiful example of unqualified Christian love. Then I Googled Michael Oher to lean more about him from his Wikipedia entry and decided that the true, factual story was less beautiful than the movie portrayed. Oh, well. Still, there are some very moving humane moments in this film Sandra Bullock delivers a great performance.
For me the star of this film was not Sandra Bullock, one of my favorite actors, but Jae Head, who played the little brother, SJ.
