Shadow Conspiracy
starring Charlie Sheen, Donald Sutherland and Linda Hamilton
Donald Sutherland does a good job playing the sinister bad guy - something he’s more convincing at as he gets older, as he did in another recent movie, Outbreak with Dustin Hoffman, and Disclosure with Demi Moore and Michael
Douglas.
In Shadow Conspiracy Sutherland plays the White House Chief of Staff who secretly and what the aid of other high level White House insiders launches a plot to seize power form the legally-elected president whose domestic policies the traitorous clique believes are catastrophic for the country.
Charlie Sheen is a young Senator (kind of a contradiction there) and special Assistant to the President. He learns of the plans of this “shadow conspiracy” operating like a hidden government within the White House, behind the real symbols of power. With the help of a Washington Herald newspaper journalist played by Linda Hamilton the Senator saves the President’s life form assassins and uncovers the shadow conspiracy just in the nick of time, just as the conspirators were preparing a coup in American government.
Shadow Conspiracy is exciting, fun, and fast-paced. Also during the film you will see some famous Washington landmarks used
in other political action thrillers of recent years, namely Arnold Schwarzenegger’s and Tom Arnold’s movie True Lies.
