Ebina
I was in Ebina City today, in Kanagawa Prefecture, about 45-minutes west of Shinjuku in downtown Tokyo on the Odawara-bound Odakyu Line Limited Express train. I go to Ebina sometimes for part time work. Today I had two little things to do there, with a 4-hour break in between. Ebina is a reasonably developed suburb, close to the American Camp Zama military base, so I often see war planes flying overhead (loud, nasty-looking grey things). The shopping near Ebina Station attracts Americans. There is a large, American-style shopping mall called Lalaport on the North side, and on the South side is the large, open-air Vinawalk mall.
Today I went to the Jins optometry store inside Lalaport to get my eyeglasses fixed. (That took 10-minutes.) I bought my glasses in Shinjuku, but since the warranty is still valid I knew that I could get them repaired for free at any Jins in the country, and since I know there is a Jins in Lalaport and I would be in the vicinity anyway, .......
After that I walked over to Vinawalk to look at the movie schedule at the TOHO multiplex cinema there. I had time to see a movie, and I was hoping that the new Ron Howard movie, "Solo," would be showing already. But it wasn't, and the movie schedule was crap. So I sat down on a bench in the sun and napped for 3-hours instead.
